So I've come to find that Taiwanese kids are assholes. Specifically high school kids. I had an amazingly solid run today. Final distance was 6.24 miles (that's a 10k for the metrically inclined). I actually went a total of 7.53, but since that includes a long walk to grab a menu to a place I want to try, I won't be tallying that extra distance.
Oh yeah, why are Taiwanese children jerks? I was on my last lap around the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial hall (nice flat course just a shade under 1.3 miles), so naturally I sprint the last quarter mile. This is habit. I happen to pass a kid, who I think is a high schooler, on the way to the corner where I proceed to nearly collapse lol. He passes me and turns back to say "Why bother running so fast if you can't run for very long?" Of course there's no way he could've known I had already been running, and it also bothers me when someone sprints past me to just 'prove a point,' but I have no clue what prompted him to feel the need to say something like that. It shouldn't matter what other people think... if you run funny, or too slow, but for some reason it really bothered me. Hopefully I can stop by a Starbucks to upload some pics ugh.
Side note... I'm currently on someone's router called 'HolyWater.' Thanks for letting me use it whoever you are, but if you could... upgrading to a draft-N router would help a lot in terms of speed and range lol.
